Eric Klein Large

 

Eric Klein was a Paralympian and world champion archer.

Eric competed at four Paralympic Games from 1980 to 1992, in Arnhem, Stoke Mandeville, Seoul and Barcelona. He holds all 13 Australian archery records for wheelchair athletes, one Commonwealth record, one World Games record, and one world record.

He won more than 50 medals in state, national and international events; 22 Australian medals, two gold medals at the Far East Asia South Pacific International Games, and one Commonwealth Games gold medal. In the World Championships Eric won one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.

Eric was one of the founding members of the Illawarra Roller Hawks in the National Wheelchair Basketball League, and a member of the Australian Men’s National Wheelchair Basketball Team, competing at the World Championships in 1986.

In 2000 Eric was a torch bearer for the Sydney Paralympic Games
