A Little Bit of Blue Puppet Show

Little Wing Puppets are on their way to Shellharbour, bringing with them their interactive environmental detective story 'A Little Bit of Blue'. As well as unravelling a mystery, it involves learning about the unique habits of an extraordinary Australian creature, the bowerbird, and their fascination with the colour blue.

Puppetry of Paper - Workshop

Scrunch, rip, twist, tear! How many things can you do with a piece of paper?

This workshop is based on Bunraku-style puppetry, a traditional Japanese form of theatre which involves multiple puppeteers working closely together to operate one puppet.

In this workshop you will start by making a unique puppet out of paper. You will then learn techniques for bringing your puppet to life, either as individuals or as a team.

Each group will work on short performances which are presented to the group. You will leave the workshop with a range of performance skills, which can be applied to any kind of puppetry!

Maximum 20 participants (note: this does not include adults)

*Recommended for ages 3 years and up. Parents and carers are encouraged to participate. Children ages 6 years and under need to be accompanied by an adult
